James Ward's Special Effects Day 2

After James had poured the the plaster into the mould and let it set you are left with a solid mould which is easily peeled aways, the mould is an exact replica of the models face. James then went onto building into the mould with wax clay, this makes it thicker and easier to work with and then you can start sculpting your monster. James started using a rack tool to make the shape of the face and to add detail, he then went onto getting a brush to gently apply white spirit to the clay, then to make the detail look more detailed he dusted talcum powder over it so give it a more realistic effect. James added more detail with a smalled and lighter tool to create the distinktive lines people get on their face. After adding a alot more detail to make the monster make to the best it can James has to wait 24 hours to make deffinate that the mould is securely set. After waiting the 24 hours you can now clean the mask up and finish the mask properlly by painting it. The mask looked amozing at the end of the process.
